Haven't made them yet. The ask that the wings be marinated in beer beforehand (sad Canadian stereotype, I know) and other than that I think it's the idea of "flames" that drives it. It calls for use of a Thai chili sauce that I can never pronounce right (shriracha), which we just call "rooster sauce" because of the picture of the rooster on the bottle, and tabasco. The rooster sauce is really fucking hot so I guess that is where the flames come in. I just like the idea because it's a hockey reference in food form. I do mean to try it but I need the time to go shopping.
*looks up Cujo's career on the wiki*
Wow... I am inclined to agree. His losses are almost equal to his victories after that long? Well, I wish him a happy retirement.
yeah, I bet his last few years he didn't do so well... and I just checked and it wasn't terrible... but he had a pretty bad season in Phoenix. I don't blame him for sticking around as long as he did.... but I don't imagine the last few years were too great. But a million dollar contract a year for playing 10 games isn't too bad
So it is turning out to be a really interesting season so far. I am still shocked at how close the points are for the western conference, this is going to be a great race for the playoffs. Gotta say I am very impressed with the improvements of the Sabers, the Coyotes, and the Kings this season... though the Kings could be doing better. Still kinda annoyed that the Pens power play has been sucking balls, but at least we're still in the top five teams for the east.
well, Calgary and Edmonton (Alberta teams) are combined for either 19 or 20 consecutive losses... Edmonton has 12 and Calgary has 8 I think. Something like that.
They play each other tonight so one of those teams will break the streak
yeah... and we made a bunch of trades in there... Calgary is a totally different team now.
Phaneuf and Sjostrom to Toronto for Stajan, Mayers, White and Hagman.
Jokinen and Prust to Rangers for Higgins and Kotalik.
I'm not sure how much I like these trades... but both Jokinen and Phaneuf (the 2 big names that Calgary moved) were playing like crap and were earning 10 million or so combined. And we got about 3 times as much scoring as we gave up.... I don't mind the trade... but I still think we could have gotten more from the Phaneuf trade if we had gone to a different team. Like Kovalchuk for Phaneuf! (Daydreaming I know!)
Yeah the trades are interesting. I know the Kings and Pens stayed the same for the most part, not sure of the Sharks... but some teams really changed.
So yeah, just watched the Pens v Caps game on NBC, and I am so sad. It was such a good game, and I think both teams played really well but dear goddess I HATE Ovechkin! I wanted us to win so bad! Of course, I was just happy the game happened, what with the blizzard and all. I can't believe I am voluntarily moving out there... I've lost my mind.
Also, Kings set a new club record with 9 wins on Saturday against the Red Wings. Seems they are regaining that momentum they had earlier in the season when they reached #1 in the west, hopefully that drive continues past the Olympic break. I'd like at least one of my teams to win the cup... preferably the Penguins, but I think it would be awesome for the Kings to get it as well just to prove that they have surpassed the Gretsky days and to give them something to hang in Staples Center other than retired jerseys. Mostly, to offset all those damned Lakers pennants (I hate the Lakers, hate them with such passion that it cannot be described).
On a more positive note, we just swept a home/home series with the Devils and won the season series with them, getting 4 wins against them in a season for the first time in 20 years
Oh, and Washington finally lost. Stupid Ovechkin. I watched that game and could he be a lazier player!!!! He stands around so much. They talk about how good he is but he is a lazy guy when he is on the ice a lot of the time.
And apparently body checking people into a goalie is how to score a goal... that's not interference at all.
I guess I can't be disappointed with my Flyers splitting the games in New Jersey. We'll just have to win these next 3 at home and send the majority of Team USA back home early
Quoted from Randy53215Watched Detroit whip some ass last night, was a pretty good game.
As I told Geo in this thread MONTHS ago in the start of the season. The Red Wings are the team noone wants to face in the playoffs. And they always make it to the playoffs.

what?!?!? Detroit is out of the playoffs? lost 4-1 in their series? Right.
Damn, the East has some kind of competition. Pens-Habs is going to game 7 and Flyers-Bruins is likely to do the same, once we kick some ass on wednesday of course
